Gas filler neck relocation

    I am in the process of bodywork on my 75 CJ5 and am considering moving my filler neck to the rear right quarter panel. Has anyone done this modification or seen it done?

    not sure what yours looks like....when I put the Wrangler tank in the 6 to get a in tank pump for my efi I simply cut a hole to size and bolted it on

    anyone use the stock tank and put the filler on the right side?

    I've seen pics of it.
    It looks just like the above pic but on the other side.
    Nothing complicated, you just need to find the proper hoses that "S" straight out without the 90 degree bend toward the back

    I had the filler on the right side on my CJ 6. Tank inlets were on that side. I just bought flexible fuel pump hose and it was an easy run.

    where did you find filler hose been looking cant find any large enough...

    I found a local industrial hydraulic parts supplier.

    gas didn't eat the hydraulic hose?

    It was fuel pump hose purchased at a business who mainly did hydraulic hose work.

    had no luck at the boat yards or parts store nothing that big... need the filler hose for a 74 mine has givin up

    Factory setup?

    http://www.mtscompany.com/jeep.htm If MTS has them, others will. AFAIK the only parts that are not available are the bulkhead fitting in the hose and the filler neck (at the gas cap). The '76 overflow tube will work if you cut it. IIRC.
