Fuel Pump

Got in over my head pulling apart the fuel pump, disassembly went fine cleaned everything up looks like it might work for a bit, But on reassembly i could not find out how to hook the arms onto the parts the pump the gas the part that rides on the cam lobe.

Tried the manual but no luck barely goes into detail about this part just says to stick it in there.

Sorry for the non technical names of the parts will update to proper names when i get home and can i look at the manual.

Anyone know where i can get a new fuel pump with the glass style bowl but has the vacuum wipers port too.

 

I rebuilt mine, then had to redo it because I didn't get the hooks right either. This is what I did. Partially screw the screws for the two halves partway in, two or three threads on all six screws. You will be able to see inside where the hooks and rods are. Use 2 small thin screwdrivers, one to pull the rod down, and one to push the hook into the slot on the rod. Make sure to do the back one first. You will be able to see if they are connected. Tighten the crews and it's done. Before you start, make sure the rods are straight, as improper assembly may bend one or both.

 

Thanks alot but one more question, does the to long hooks on the arm go to the top hook and the short hook go to the bottom hook. sorry not the best description.
