can you see the buckle in the frame?

so, after a little beer, little grinding, and a little wire wheel. i find this.

since the back side is buckled all i can do is weld the crack up. so hopefully it'll hold a until i can build or get another frame.

    more tomorrow.

U got any angle iron hat you could weld to the outside and the underside? Ive also heard if u drill a hole at the end of the crack then weld it up it will stop the crack from continuing...

When you get it all said and done, here is what i did for my outboard mount. it has the angle iron for the bottom of the frame.

I've built outboard mounts similar to Danstew's for several Jeeps and have had no problems. You need to beef up all your mounts it they are the same as the one you broke. As you know the stock frames are pretty thin.
