If my 71 flanged 44 doesn't have factory zerks for the axle bearings, is it a good idea to install them?

There are inner seals on a 44, they shouldn't have diff fluid in the bearing.

Never seen zerks on flanged offset. My tapered offsets have inner seals and outer zerks. Ymmv

My 44 had inner seals when I dis-assembled it.

IIRC some flanged 44s have inner seals, some don't. None have zerk fittings. Also IIRC you pack the bearing before installation regardless of whether there is an inner seal or not. It is sufficient in both cases. I have not heard of these axles' bearings being starved for lubrication.

yes the seal im guessing holds the grease in, I figured the 90 wt would keep em lubed it didn't.
