CJ NT D30 is 53" - the D44 rear is 50.5" - I have a Warn FF kit in the rear, and can barely tell they are different widths when looking dead on from front or rear. The wider front gives better turn radius.

I made it to my yard. Found a Dana 23,41 and the flanged 44. All measured with in 1/2”. So there goes the need to change the flange to FF. I think I may sell to help fund a locker.
Thanks for the help and info.

Sell the flanged and full float the 41? The 41 has very limited options for a locker. Tapered 44s can generally be found cheap or free. If you go FF for one of those, the 30 spline axles will work with any D44 lockers.

I have more tapered 44 but did not pull wheel to measure. I would use a 44.
