congradulations Sparky. The key to most problems is persistance unfortunately persistance can be mighty frustrating. Is the longest post on record?

No, there's a Tellico thread from three years ago that's longer. This is the longest Tech post though.

You can sort by post count to see where it ranks by clicking the "Replies" hyperlink in the menu in the main forum view.

That's one expensive gasket. Now you can drive your Jeep knowing the problem is fixed.

Not that expensive. It was less than $100 I'd guess and my time. I bought two carb kits, that's the only real money I was out. Everything else was borrowed. Or I had on hand.

Look at the bright side, now I know that the engine is in good shape, and this prompted me to address issues that the engine had that I didn't know it had. :)

:? Why? Won't take me but about 3 hours.

Prolly rewire it first before the cam button.

Just being cautious... a trail JEEP is a running JEEP, and I want it to be a trail JEEP on Labor Day weekend. ;)

As many times as I've had that front cover off and it still ran, with no change good or bad, I think I can handle it. ;)

I know... but you know my philosophy: if it ain't broke, don't fix, and if it is broke, it still might be ok ;)
