    Hello,
I'm contemplating swapping flywheels on my F134 so I can get a head start getting it resurfaced for a clutch job. I understand there are different tooth counts on the ring gear and I'm not sure if mine are the same. Are there different styles of starter drive bendix for the different flywheels? Or are they all the same?
    Thanks,
    Ken

Ken, I can't help you with that question, but I will pull the starter off my F 134 Garage Motor and count the teeth on my Bendix and Ring gear, if that will help you.

Thanks for the offer but I think I got it figured out. Apparently it was just the very early F head engines that had differences. From what I read these engines had a starter shaft support bushing in the bell housing. From late CJ3B on the flywheels were all the same and these engines have closed nose starters.
