    Alright, let's dive in.
The F134 HiPo threads got me thinking about building one for the heck of it so I say "why not".
I pulled this engine from my ragged 3B and from the SN on the block I knew it was a rebuilt engine.

So my plans for this engine (if it gets a clean bill of health) is to follow up where Itlksez left off; balance the rotating assembly and get a custom cam grind or try to run an L134 cam.

The #3 exhaust valve is stuck open. I only broke 1 head bolt and then I broke a thermostat housing bolt on the head.

Here I have the intake valves, intake valve springs, and spring retainers in the tumbler.

I got the block stripped minus the cam bearings and some plugs. #4 piston had a broken ring and all the bearings looked great. This is shaping up to be a real treat.

My hotted up F134's have ARP rod bolts (Chevy, I think) and roller rockers on the intake valves. There are external oil lines from the oil pump to places on the block for priority oiling to the crank. At least one of the engines run the crankshaft with bolt-on weights. I haven't pulled the pan on the second engine. I've been told by the Jeep racers this is the crank of choice for high rpm engines. Both the block and heads are seriously decked/milled to raise compression. The pistons stick up almost 1/8" above the deck, and the tops milled to fit the chamber in the head.
I may be able to find the hand-written cam specs I copied from Crain's spec card. The big cam is the center of making a high rpm/high horsepower (reletively speaking) F134.

More cleaning done today. I don't plan to use the old exhaust manifold, but you know just in case. This is all the boring stuff. Once everything is cleaned up I can start the real work. [IMG]

I think it'd be cool to add fuel injection to one of these. Maybe use an S&S Throttlebody? A 103ci twin cam is only about 400cc shy of these, so a plus sized TB from one of them is bound to be able to deliver plenty of fuel.

I have an old Holley analog projection 2d I would like to use but I think it’d take awhile to try and tune it. Also it’s practically a carburetor because it has no wideband o2. A tbi from an iron duke would probably fit the bill with some tuning. I’m a far ways off from figuring out what to do as far as efi or carburetor but it’s something to think about in the meantime.

I'll be buying a new intake seat and four intake valves. The head checked out, no cracks, needs a bit more cleaning. Also, new tappets and rocker arms are needed too. I'll be checking the intake and exhaust springs next. I'm on the fence about grinding the crank myself or outsourcing it. @Keys5a do you have pictures of the roller rockers? Home brew or modified aftermarket? Thanks

Here's the engine in the oven before.

After * The oven is just to remove moisture from the grease and oil.

I have a cam bushing debacle. The block had 3 extra bushings added to it, each with different ID's, OD's, and length. I'll be sifting through some bearing catalogs in the meantime.

Extra bushings? Like more than originally used by the factory? In that case couldn't you just nix them?

Tested the valve springs with the Rimac today. All were out of spec so I'll be buying new valve springs. I need a new exhaust valve guide (#3). Measured tip height on the intake valves.

Tomorrow I'll try to get the Cylinder and camshaft bores measured, and mic the crankshaft.

Here I have an exhaust spring set in.

Well, I found the new cam bearings. It was quite the search :bananatool:

    Cam bearings
    #2 is from an AMC V8 304-401
    #3 comes from a Hercules
    #4 Reo Truck

I'm pretty sure the roller rockers are modified aftermarket SBC pieces. One of my modified heads has Chevy 2.02 valves. I see you have the good crank with the bolt-on counterweights.

    Measured the cylinders today.

All were tapered give or take .015 and out of round .005

Looks like we’re going to.080 oh joy
