The PO of my 61 had the dash butchered up with holes, radio etc. I made a plate out of aluminum. I cut a nice even hole in the dash smaller than my plate and screwed it to the dash. Looks a lot better than before. An old road sign works good and saws easy with a scroll saw...Dan

Dan....that really looks great. Every time I have an instrument problem or when I have to get behind the dash for this or that , I promise myself that I will make access to it easier as soon as I get time. Nice job!

    That does look nice.....
And, it would be nice to be able to pull the panel off to get behind the dash.

Very impressive way to patch over the old holes, and super convenient to get to the wires without having lay upside down with your head on the hard metal floor and try to work on wires with all the blood running to your head. :>)

I like the beige (or tan) color of the inside of your jeep. What kind of paint and what color is it called?

To CT, the color of my 61 CJ5 is Ford Tractor Medium Grey. It is the same color used on the wheels of the later model Forf tractors. Dan
