Hi all. I'm very intimidated by attempting a gear change in my axles so, I'm going to hope there's a set of axles from Jeeps out there. I'm looking for a dana 30 and also a centered dana 44 rear with the 4.27 gears. Hopefully close to Central,Pa. Keeping my fingers crossed.....

You shouldn't be. It's a lot easier & cheaper to do the gear change. May I suggest that you read up on it. Also, there's a lot of knowledgeable folks & info on this forum.

Hi - I see that you're looking for some rears. I have a matched set from a 1971 CJ5. Lockers were installed years ago. The gear ratio is not what you mentioned, the ratio, I believe is 3:73. I'm by the Delaware River in Ewing NJ, might be too far for you. I'm looking for $400 for the pair, but don't know if they'll work out for you. Thanks and good luck, Jim

Not saying they don't exist, but 4.27 gears were not very common on intermediate CJs. As Lockman suggestes, a gear change is the most likely way to get them if you're dead set on 4.27s.
