    Looking for positive recommendations for a 1-1/4" T-case master rebuild kit. If not a master kit, perhaps bit pieces from various companies. I'm leaning towards the Novak kit but most certainly would like to hear recommendations. Not too interested in a lower gear set, but quality seals, bearings and gaskets are a must. Certainly want USA made components. After 44 years I think it's time... TIA!

    Novak.........does seem to spend more time refining there parts such as there replacement 1.250" shaft and paying closer attention to the hardness (rockwell) of these components. Although like most manufactures they do not build everything in house nor heat-treat in house.........as far as bearings & seals, the market has been flooded with off-shore Items and that also holds true for even some USA brands that repackage bearings here............not to say that the off-shore Items are bad because some are quite good , it's just the QC between runs that is hard to put your finger on some time.
    Best to call them and ask what brand they are currently selling.

    I went with Herm's "quality" kit that uses better grade bearings & the hardened/O-ringed intermediate shaft.

    I also bought double lipped seals for the yokes, in fact I stuffed two each in both the front & back.

    Pay attention to sealing the yoke splines & under the heads of the bolts holding the rear cap on.

    Interesting... I just looked thru his site and didn't see any mention of a "quality" kit. The upgraded bearings/ seals/ intermediate shaft, etc... is exactly what I want. I'll send him an email. One thing I did notice is that HTOG is much less $$ than Novak if his is a master kit.

    Hmmm, I can't find it now either- could be he's discontinued that option.

    You may be further ahead to source the bearings from a bearing supply place & specify the better quality pieces.
