Making Progress, Rebuilt carb started without much trouble, considering it last started in 1994. Next question. After warming up, the radiator discharges when I turn off the engine. As ii remember it had always done this to some degree. Now that I have kids and pets I do not want antifreeze all over the place. What electric fans area available? Any other Ideas. '75 Cj5 304

Kind of confused here do you not have an overflow canester??? Or is the radiator overflowing somewhere else if so is it overheating??

I also have a 75/304, and it has no catch tank from the factory.. I purchased one from 4WD Hardware and installed it.. My 304 was also drooling.. It seems to be working as I notice that the tank rises to about half full when hot and lowers later after cooling.. Ignore the zip tie I lost the bolt last week..

Ahh okay then I would recommend installing a recovery tank as Zila did I thought by 73 that they would have had a recovery tank.

might think about replacing the radiator cap, as cheap insurance...

but yea, toss a catch can on there, and no more worries!

i agree with Packrat, sounds like a radiator cap, at least that fixed the same problem that i was having. when i would stop and cut the motor off it sat there for a minute and then it would make like a air bubble gurgling sound and then it would overflow. but all is well now.

Great Idea! That is way too easy of a fix. Thank you all very much!
