Does anyone know where I can find new or used front and passenger seat brackets for a 74 cj5. Also, would they brackets from later model jeeps work on the 74

I'm not sure where you can find new one (or if they are even available brand new), but I will say that the later frames will not work. '72-'75 will be exactly alike, and the pre-'71 will work, but be slightly different in design. After '75, they did away with the tool box under the passenger seat, so the frames are different.

Many people have just made their own frames from 1"x1" square tubing. I know Joe Klosterman (Project71-5) and John Shows have made them - both of which came out really nice.

I might still have the drivers side bracket laying around. I'll check tonight.

I might end up parting out my 74 CJ5. I am looking for a front axle to try to revive it to do some plowing, but it is rough in many ways. The seats are nice cause it is a hardtop and the brackets look very good. Let me know what your time frame is, and I will see what the heck I am going to do in a month or so.

I could use the seats, if you'd like to get rid of those, too.

    Hey Hey I got those!

I went through a change to a 'glass tub and I no longer have the toolbox. I have the two angle iron bars for the drivers side, and 2 sets of the pass side to go where the tool box goes. in fact I have the old seats but they are trash. PM if you are interested, I have no idea what shipping would be on this stuff
