I have an 85 Chevy 4.3 v6 with rv cam and flat top pistons, it is somewhere around 10:1 compression. I tossed the CCC quadrajet and the seller included a quadrajet from a BOP with the bigger primaries. Well it has developed a (gasket) leak that let's the fuel visibly pour from the float bowl into the intake. So I know I need to open it up but the rebuild kit instructions are useless as the engine was only offered with the ccc. I originally rebuilt the carb using a mix of 4.3 v8 specs but again the larger primary's throw that spec off.
Has anyone found a good quadrajet rebuild article that would cover this situation. Maybe some offroad tips and tricks while it is open. I can't justify tbi at this point since that would require a tune for the cam and compression among other things.

Qjet should have the carb number stamped right on the side...buy a rebuild kit based on that & it will have instructions for that carb. Quadrajets are notorious for leaky well plugs in the bottom of the float bowl (on the underside of the main body with the carb dis-assembled) seal those up with JB Weld.
