1952 Willys Jeep Custom
Would like to have a flattie for a project, but not at that price. Rather have a stock one. I'd rather build it my way, not with those mods.
I liked everything done to it
except the fan in front
A lot to work with there...
The only things I don't like are the fan on front (probably needs a better radiator) and the tach in front of the passenger seat.
I wonder what those front springs are out of? Blazer?
I pondered those leaves as well. Overall nice build, workmanship is clean. Good soa execution with nice steering geometry and caster.
Springs look like a neutral/negative arch. F250?
I wondered that too, but Ford springs are 3” wide. These don’t look quite that wide.
But if they are, god help that guy’s kidneys.
I have quite a few hours in a 78 f250 off road. It's a bone shattering ride. Needs a harness to keep you on the bench seat and from hitting your head on the roof.
What about those wheels?
I believe my sig line covers that....
A lot done to it, no show winner, but looks like a capable off road rig. A lot of people like the flat springs. They say they ride better and flex both ways better. For the work done, I don't think a 7K price is way out of bounds. I'd wheel it.
I like it. I'd sink nutserts into grill then hold the electric fan on with thumb screws so I can take it off when not crawling.
I looked at that cj about a year ago . Guy was an avid wheeler, and hard times hit the family. You could correct it fairly easy, yes a little pricey, but duplicate it and tell me what you would save ?
No way you can build that at almost twice the price. If you did it yourself. But it's not for everyone.
Thats a lot of jeep for the price. Got lockers, OBA, T-18, a Ford V8.. Clean title.. Whats not to like? I have seen a whole lot of garbage for a higher price than that. I see surface rust underneath, doesn't look like its been driven a lot recently..
I bet a well fitted fan shroud would be enough to cure the need for the auxiliary ugliness out front.
