Old school looking bling! The wiring is good... Picked up about 6 different spools of bell wire today, as well as a rather large assortment of fittings and i'll begin making it then.
Thanks Bill! Will do! I hope to get many miles in it as well!

Alrighty.... Wiring is almost done. Need to do the fuel gauge and windshield wipers and i'll be there.
Now, for some reason, when I pull the light switch to the park only position, the headlights are on too... I dunno what happened there
And, when I turn the switch off, the engine keeps running, no good.

There's two posts on the headlight switch for lights. One for park, one for headlamp. You get them correct? Double check your wires on the ignition switch. Test the switch with an ohm meter. Make sure there's no continuity between the "run" post and Batt.+ when in the off position. I know, you know this. Just thinking out loud here.

I do know about the switch. I pulled out the oldschool multi meter I forgot we had and I'm going to ask you guys tomorrow (with pictures) how to use it.
On the headlight switch there's 3 posts, one for the tail lights, one parking, one head. So you pull it out halfway and the parking lamps and headlights go on (bright or dim depending on the dimmer switch) and then out all the way and the parking lamps go off, headlights stay on, and tail lights go on.
No idea on crossed wires, I was haulin a*3 on it so I could have though I tripple checked, I will again probably Monday.
    Thanks Patrick.
For the alternator it's a 1 wire 2 spade. I have the number 1 spade hooked up to the alternator supply post, the number 2 goes to the 'on' position on my switch, and the alternator supply post goes to 1 side of the ammeter, the + side and on the - side supplys my on off switch (which has 3 posts) I'm wondering if somehow the way I have it set up with the spades (my buddy Ryan who works on classics all day told me how to) is causing it to short out as such. Ugh! The joys of a fine automobile :D

    Nope...
In the book McQueen's Machines even they talk about him running only 1 light.

    Meh... I like it.

Ok I got the positive issue figured out, have yet to get the headlight issue sorted out, and, the alternator (via the ammeter) doesn't seem to be charging...

So, you're using a ammeter (amp meter) with the charge wire running thru it?
Personally I decided a volt meter was good enough, and use a one wire alternator with a short 8ga. charge wire to the starter solenoid. Simple and effective.

I have a 1 wire with 2 spades (3 wire then?) I have it running through a 10ga into the ammeter. I was going to go with a voltage gauge but Napa didn't have one (go figure)
I have nothing off the num. 1 spade since I don't have a dash light for it for charging/warning, and then the number 2 feed goes right to the alt. feed
When I pull the lights on with out it running I can see it pull into discharge, but when it's running and I pull them on, it doesn't move as far, so I assume the alt. is working?

I'm super excited about it, I may JUST may drive it to school yet!

Put a voltmeter on it and see what it's doing.

Where does you wire go coming back out of the ammeter?
It should feed everything on the Jeep except the starter, to be accurate.
