I pulled my running Buick v6 to put in my 4.3.. It's not going to go back in, so it's up for sale.

I believe its a 1965 Buick wildcat engine.
HEI, Offy 360 intake, Holley 4 barrel carb, one wire alternator, cast rear dump manifolds and Power steering pump with bracket.

This is a turn key engine that comes complete carb to pan, water pump to clutch with heavy dauntless flywheel. I will even throw in a bell housing. One set up for sm420 or stock. I might even be convinced to let go a new novak T/O arm and good novak slave cylinder!

It has 20PSI oil pressure at idle and 40 at cruising speed. It's far from perfect but runs just fine.

I will ship it anywhere and can get you a quote, but it won't be less than 350.00 for shipping and probably a bit more. Pick up is of course free and I can load it into the trunk of your car, into a back pack or a sturdy womans arms..I prefer a truck though.

If you want pics, pm me with your email or phone number and I can get them to you. Engine is out, so I'm not going to send video.

Obligatory.. no tire kickers, low ballers, I know what I got, no scammers... What else normally goes on these ads? No craigslist flakes! Thanks Cary!
    Thanks!
    Chris

Is it fast? Will it fit in an 85 Camaro?

    Good luck with the sale!

You gotta add "I know what I got"

Seriously though, if this was for sale just a few months ago I would have been all over it. Alas, I have a brand new dauntless as of a week ago.

    Chris, A Wildcat engine was a 340, 401 or 425, certainly not a 225 V6. I think you meant your 225 was likely from a Special.
Your engine would be a great "drop in" for a project Jeep. Just gotta find someone local that needs it.

I think you're right. I never saw what this engine came out of, could be skylark or special.. Don't really know, All I do know is that it has the same number of head bolts that match the dauntless stuff, but without the threaded bosses for air injection. Bosses are there, but no hole.

I don't need to sell this, but I don't need it kicking around either. Some sought after parts on this that have about 3K or less miles on it. The carb is going for over 500. and the intake is going for 450 alone. Literally about 3K miles on this stuff.

There seems to be a few ??? that are fighting with ourselves about finding a trustworthy rebuild shop or finding a new one.

Ok....well.... brand new as in freshly rebuilt with 0 miles on it! I've never run it myself, so I consider it brand new. It sure is pretty at least!

Got it. Thanks-I was just kinda hoping. There was only one guy on here and that was a few years ago that had a 225 odd fire crate motor, and he has sold it.

Yeah I remember one recently (has it been 2 years now?!?!?). I don't think my engine would have even needed to be bored if there wasn't a bit of rust pitting on one cylinder. Needless to say, it's now. 030 over.

Guys, Dropped the price 100 bucks. I don't need to sell it, but if it keeps kicking around its not going to age like fine wine. I'm also willing to part it out and open to offers. I will ship this thing wherever you want on your dime.

I know what you mean about not aging well. I took a running 225 out and put it in a stand and wheeled it in the corner. A year later I pulled it out and it was seized tight. Should have spun it once in awhile.
