Looks like UPS shipping east is pretty expensive, not trying to scare anyone off but the box is 16x16x40 and roughly 40lbs

looked at greyhound and fastenall, somewhat better but any depot for either of these is about 40+ miles away:mad:

So far greyhound is the only one who’s website is not cooperating
    UPS was $107
    YRC was $128
    Fastenal- still waiting on quote

Are these still available? and if so......Do you know if they would bolt up with a '63 198? I believe the block is the same dimension as the 225, but can't say for sure.

    Thanks

I originally had a 198 - they will not fit as the 198 head has a lower protrusion that interferes. You would need to separate the flange into 3 pieces or mill part of the boss off

Thanks I was worried about that. Any ideas on where I could find a set of manifolds for the 198? I am dead in the water on a rebuild. Thanks again

I think the cast iron 225 ones might work as long as the connection between cylinders bows up.

hopefully others on the forum know more

Possibly, my distance was calculated to be over 2,100 miles. Appears distance and possibly some measure of volume may be a significant factor in the cost - cannot rationalize it in another way.

3FD8C2E5-A881-41D3-8765-7CEEB82B5708.jpeg About half way between frame and body edge, closer to body edge

approx. 9.5 center of collector to frame and approx 5.5 center of collector to outside of body

    offset roughly 2”
