Once upon a time, my ‘64 CJ5 had body mounts. Where were they? More specifically, it looks like my Jeep only has three body mount brackets with no other holes for the front floor (excluding the two for the riser between front and rear floors). Where do the original front hat channels attach to the frame? Also; should there be two or four body mounts in the rear floor? How many body mounts should I have on the whole Jeep? I did search, and couldn’t find what I was looking for, sorry if this is a repeat. Thank you!

Welcome from Michigan, Blalp. I am going to try and answer your question, telling you what I done with mine. I bought a Silicone body mount kit, I think there were 14 round body mounts. I put four across the rear frame rail, there were four there to begin with, then two in the box cross member, then there were three angle brackets, bolted the frame, and one on top of the frame rail left side under the wheel well by the rear wheel. This was done because the fuel tank would be setting on a bolt if they put an angle bracket in the floor under the tank. I put an angle bracket on my frame, under my tank like the other three, used a carriage bolt in it and shimmed my tank up a little. As far as the front under the fire wall, where the hat channels end, I found no bolts, just a slider, as I remember it. I assumed they felt the body didn't need to be bolted there. I made a stud to hold a body mount in there, but didn't bolt through. just let it slide. I hope this helps you out, Good Luck
