I am rebuilding my D30 front end. I have it totally apart and strriped. I have soaked the upper ball joints down with penetrant and tried using a press and they won't budge. Any ideas. Am I doing somthing wrong here?

This may sound dumb but are you pressing them out the right way? IIRC they should press up and out.

I had to heat the metal around the joint with the oxy/act torch to get mine to budge.

I usually put a little pressure on with the c clamp tool and hit it with a hammer to get it started workes every time.

Are you using a ball joint press? Dang, I wish I could be there, I've done many ball joints...
