Dan: I'm thinking of just taking one of the old ones down to a good bolt shop and just get some grade 8's for them.

    Should work fine. :)

They should have flywheel specific bolts at a good AP store. They are (I think) 3/8" fine thread, the same as a Chevy. I think Dad used flexplate bolts for a Small Chev on his Dauntless (auto trans). The head is bigger than a regular bolt of the same size.

They are just regular Chevy Flywheel bolts. I bought a set of ARP bolts from summit when I used to have the T18.

Yup, as said, same as Chev V-8. Most any FLAPS will have them. Usually in a Mr. Gasket package. Nickmil.

Not 100% sure but you may want to see if you should apply loc-tite type of material to the threads if you don't already. I worked at a dealer and a customers vehicle came back after a trans replacement,,,it had a terriable knocking noise. Yep, the bolts had backed out even though the tech had torqued them... Just a suggestion.
