I set my body on the newly built frame, I am about 30" to the bottom of the door opening. Seems high, not sure about the springs , seem to be stock but who knows. What are some of you guys measuring to the bottom of the door? Non-lifted I'm assuming (I Know) The frame was assembled off the blueprint in the TSM

I've got 27¾" to the bottom edge where the door curves in. '74 V8 w/stock HD springs on 31x9.5R15.

Factory springs with the "heavy duty suspension" option were 10 leaf in 1974, IIRC.

Kinda hard to say, since so few of these Jeeps have the original springs at this point.

Correct. I'm thinking when they (orig owner) got the 304 they opted for the HD springs.

My CJ-6 is 31" to the door bottom. 2.5" BDS lift, 33s. Suspect the 2.5" lift is maybe 1" or so above the factory heavy duty suspension height.

It caught me off guard LOL, I didn't think they sat that high. I'm trying to maintain a semblance of stock appearing on the 1st glance. Definitely no lift needed.
