I've spent some time reading on the new wiring.

For those that have used the EZ wire kits, this is the one I'm thinking of going with, EZ Wiring E-Store - EZ Wiring Harness Kits

Would like your opinions. I do have a new steering column with the GM hook up.

I also, need a new firewall grommet, I had though I saved a link to one that would fit, but apparently I didn't.

    Thanks, in advance.

    And God Bless our fallen!

The PO for my jeep had purchased one of these and had only started to put it in. Most of the wiring was lying on the driver's side floorboard. I do high voltage electrical testing, so I know a lot about electricity -- kind of goes with the job -- so maybe I have a leg up on others, but I found the kit to be great. The wires were labeled and bundled together and I had to do very little in the way of troubleshooting or determining connections. I especially liked the fact that there were extra wires for use between manufacturers, i.e., Ford would use some wires that GM wouldn't, etc.

I installed GM tilt steering in my Jeep and it was quite easy to figure out what went where, even without the instructions. I didn't have any, as the PO had lost them, but I was able to go on-line and find some.

2X on the "God Bless our Fallen". I'm a 20-year retired man myself. Vietnam-era vet, Military Intelligence (speaking German and Japanese) and then switched to Corps of Engineers. I learned the skills with which I make a very comfortable living, while I was in the Corps of Engineers. I never regret having done it, but then I really didn't have a choice. I was under the lottery system with a number of 79. It was enlist or be drafted.

X2 on the EZ Wire kits. I wired my whole Jeep in 1 1/2 days. Good instructions, well marked wires and the tech line was very helpful when I called.
