    And I love the photo/video of a GPW on a chassis dyno! It's just SO incongruous, it's hilarious.

    Thats really a pretty impressive gain, can you imagine the driveability and power gains with that head a fuel injection setup and header.

    I'd guess the higher compression ratio is made practical by the quality of fuel we use today?

    I recall reading that the octane of early fuels was really low ... and this engine had its origins in the 30s.

    Interesting. I don't remember seeing or handling those heads when I worked for Brian... but the L134 was old stuff even then.

    yea, that's cool. And like Mike said, through on some FI, elec. ignition and a header. Curious what you would end up with.
