Nice work. I have a couple of those walmart latches on my passenger seat tool box and they do stick up a bit too much for your secret stash.

I put a regular cabinet lock on Tonk's toolbox

Fits perfectly, just clears the lid channel.

H, THATS EXACTLY WHat I picked up just haven't installed ,I thought I might need to make the throw longer
J, that is John Bull trial in Big Bear ,we ran it backwards so gravity was on our side for the little jeep that was with us ,,,Tomtom's jeep is a elderly 4cly and manual steer and not big tires but it IS low geared ,,sm420 crawls real good ,,,,but we didn't want to hurt the little guy

    SWAY's yr in review

well it all stayed together ,,,no spotwelds broke .was a busy yr work wise and didn't take it out as much as I wanted .

the stock Buick P/S Pump has always not been that strong .and just gives out on slow hot rocky trails ......so I picked up a Borgeson Hydro boost pump.#800323 (thanks Dummy)
the flow rate is 3.5-4GPM and has a pressure relief at 1550 -1600PSI..Pump works great plenty of power to turn the locked 35's.
I had a hard time buying the right offset, diam, press-on, V belt pulley ,looked for a few days and was looking at actually having one made ........went to the junkyard and found exactly the right on off a 80's Chevy Van $9
I also added a large cooler from the junkyard out of a newer ford van $25
and did a little upgrade to the OBA with the addition of a cool hose reel.

Do you have a ram assist? Worth it if you don't have :)

For the oil cooler make sure it's a tube type cooler not like a prestone one. Running a prestone type will bring down too much the pressure on return line.

    I haven't updated this in a while ,,,, so

super happy with the power steering pump it stays quiet when pushed and turns the 35 so far with no problems

so far Holley 390 with TA kit is working well ,much smoother idle and off idle transition but haven't had the need for all 4 barrels yet . I hate to say it but it does run better than my TRUSTY 2G

a few months back I was out with the ecj5 gang in Truckhaven ....PLAYING LIKE I PLAY and I got into a tight spot ,because I have shackle reversal the front started to grab and the back was very wedged so the front end walked out from under the jeep and the driveshaft separated and fell out ,at the same time the spring shackle went inverted and snapped forward and bent the main leaf into the shape of a large L (someone has a picture )so we figured out how to fix it and got back to camp with no problems in 2 wd ......

once back in camp I fixed and cleaned the driveshaft and went back out to play this time I blew up my front d30 ,cracked the case which allowed the lock rite to turn which shattered the pin and locker and the shrapnel took out the ring and pinion

sdcj6 knew a guy that had a lockerd d30 with 4:88 and disc for a decent price and I need my rig by June so I picked it up and installed it this weekend with my bronco drums on it ,swap was easy and went in in 2 days.... when mine is done I'll keep the disc set up and sell the donor .

I really liked my d30 and a front d44 is a lot of work for me, I would have to send it out to do the narrowing and axle cutting ,and it's crazy heavy ,,,I set the gears in the 30 myself and has lasted me a long time with never any problems even though I beat the little guy ...... so I will rebuild it with better, stronger parts .going with a selectable, better axles and disc brakes .SWAY should be happy with that .

My vote for the selectable locker is definitely the OX. It can be had either electric, air or cable actuated. If I ever grenade my ARB I'll be putting an OX in the front.

wow I haven't updated this in a long time .......
    well I updated my D30
the front now runs Revolution Gear 4:88s and a Eaton E-Locker ,using this locker I was able to use the Revolution Gear Chom moly 30 spline axles, they are thicker and I can use D44 size solid Spicer joints. Revolution supplied the narrow track jeep inner axles in 30 spline and the early Bronco D44 Moly outers.I had to use TJ oil seals in the CJ housing to seal it all up ... Since my tie rod flip kit was getting worn out I ordered another set from Goforit Offroad, and a bomb proof diff cover from Ruff Stuff. The tie rod/drag link combo is from Big Daddy offroad .
I really like the instant lock up from the Eaton locker.I can keep the front end mostly off till I really need it .but still be an open 4x4 when it's not engaged......
Pics of build once I put them on the Bucket.........

Sounds like it's more than sturdy. Of course it's all just hearsay until we have pictures. :)
