The RF fender is from a DJ5x Dispatcher 100. Later Dispatcher's came with only a reflector on the fender. It had two holes and I had the reflector left over in a box with two screws so I put it on. It is a tribute to my 79. (y) The LF is the original style for a 67.

Thanks for the compliments. I have the greatest wife on the planet. And she can cook.

Very nice job, have been working on getting my 6 going, how it turns out half as nice as yours.
How often do you take it out?

Thanks. I have had it registered as Antique for about two years. I have only driven it around town and to work to keep the battery charged. I continue to work the bugs out when I have time and money. I do not have the front driveshaft hooked up. I am guessing the PO broke the transfer case yoke and installed an incorrect replacement.

I am in the process of correcting that because my grandson wants to go here:

Parts are on their way so I might have 4WD sometime in May. I have a couple of do-overs to complete as well. What I find is that when one thing gets repaired the next weakest link shows up.

    Great build!

I scrolled through all of the pages and did not see it. I apologize if you said it already, but what size are the tires?

    Thanks. 31 x 10.50 15

Early on I had the wheels from my 65 tux on the 6. Those were 215 75 15.

Not to debate tires but I like the look of the 31's but like driving with the smaller tires. I don't off road (yet) so that could change my mind.

Got the new to me yoke installed. Then the driveshaft. Took it out this afternoon in a nearby field and both low and high range work with no noise. Pretty exciting to go from a 2WD CJ6 to a 4WD CJ6.

Now the planning begins for next weekend with my grandson at the Northwest OHV park. Northwest OHV Park | Bridgeport, TX - Official Website I will post something on that park with photos in the trail ride section when we return......

Sold this in the summer of 2014. It has been on a ranch outside for five years in sunny central Texas. The new owner hasn't done much except drive it. I think I see new plug wires. He is moving on and here are his "for sale" photos.

I've learned a few things since then. When I see these pics I now understand how to fix a couple of things that went with the sale. It's good to see your old friend. I still like those seats that my wife sewed up in 2008 and I still don't like that front bumper.
