I am currently knee deep in rust removal. (69 commando convertible) I have the body off and found a place to sandblast the whole thing. I am close to chopping out all the old wiring and replacing the entire harness. Any thoughts? I know it will be a huge improvement, things like fuses. :) I am looking for recommendations or pitfalls if someone has done this. I have a background in wiring but never replaced a complete vehicle harness. I found this http://www.ezwiring.com/wiring_harness.html a universal harness, I also know about http://www.painlessperformance.com/ a little pricier, maybe you get what you pay for?

if you search here you'll find lots of folks have used the ezwire harnesses in their Jeeps......I put a 18 circuit in my cj6 and it was pretty easy for me as a novice, and good quality.....money well spent

I did do a quick search and looked for painless not ezwire, Thanks for the review.

Pakrat-The jeepdog harness looks a little more suited for the jeepster (it is the Jeepster Parts Dude). Have you (or any one else) seen or used this harness?

Wire is wire unless you want to go hypalon. looks like with a 40 amp relay and the 11 circuits at under $100 is a pretty good deal. Best I have seen yet. And as you say, you are familiar with wiring, I would think you would not have any pblms. Had not seen that Jeepdog harness before. Looks to be the ticket for me..

I haven't used one myself but a few guys over at the JCCA have and have been happy with them. For a stock install they're more than adequate and the price is right .
