Another question... or inquiry might be a better description!

A prior owner removed the original heater control panel, and I've discovered (on a 10 mile jaunt) that the heater is ON all the time. I have no idea if the heater control valve is under the dash or not, but the heater turned an 88 degree Az afternoon into about a 120 degree ride with that heater blasting!

Near as I can tell there was originally 3 cables and a switch. I found a two-position heater blower switch unmarked on the dash sitting directly over the factory light switch, but there are other switches along with it that don't seem to have any particular obvious function thus far in my investigation.

There is a flex hose under the dash that's rotted away except for the steel wound wire, but I haven't investigated what it's hooked to yet.

If someone had a diagram of the heater/defrost system on this thing, I'd be eternally grateful! (Along with any other helpful tidbits!)

    Best regards, Pete

There should be a diagram/description in the TSM.

'74 should be the same, but get the '73 TSM if you don't have it. JeepĀ® 1974 TSM online

Thanks for that link! I have a copy of the 73 TSM on its way.
