I have a 71 with the push button controls,my problem is that the valve leaks vacuum . I took the whole control apart and cleaned it up,buttons and cable work freely and it did switch between floor and defrost a couple of times and then started to leak again. I know these are not the best heaters, but I like the original stuff when all possible. Is there any company that remakes the valve or the whole part maybe. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The valve on the end of the control panel. Both diaphragms hold vacuum (with hand operated vacuum pump) and doors move freely. I believe that they are connected right.

Welcome from Michigan Andy. Have you tried to take it apart? Maybe you could make a new gasket for it, that would be about the only thing that could go bad, I think.

Hmm. Works for me, whether I'm logged in at FSJN or not. Try it again. If it's still not accessible, what happens when you click on it?
