Cage/half cab/full cab/bikini idea.

Half cabs are COOL on CJ-6s. I need a cage. I'd also like to have a full cab for the kiddies. Something to put a bikini top on would be nice too.


Sooooo I'm thinking about building a 6 point/3 hoop cage and making some panels so I can use the cage for a frame to go 1/2, full, bikini, or nuttin'. I know this will be a bit of work, but probably worth it. Only thing hanging me up is I don't know what to do in the A-pillar area. I don't want the cage crowding me.

Input/ideas? Thanks!

What the...? Looks like maybe a moderator hit the wrong button...I've done it before too, no worries.

 

I am currently planning on doing the same thing. Havent really came up with a good idea to keep the half cab. One person on here mentioned using a flange on the cage when it goes thru the half cab and bolt the cage together at the point with the half cab inbetween. When you pull the half cab just put the bolts back. If you come up with any other ideas let me know

 

My idea is to use the cage for a frame to fasten panels to in either configuration.
