Where do you think this oil leak on my 225 is coming from?

Looks like the head gasket in the pic. It's pretty uncommon for a head gasket to leak that much oil, though. Has to be the back of the intake, valve cover, or head gasket.

Clean the engine and then run it to verify where it's coming out of. More than likely it's the rubber valley gasket on the back of the manifold. They're easy to mess up. Grab some new intake gaskets, pull the manifold, and reassemble using a thick 1/4-inch bead of RTV instead of the rubber valley gaskets. Bring the bead up around the water passages.

    Valve cover is suspect too.

x2 on the back rubber. There are many little differences between years for intakes and some don't meet in the corners perfectly. RTV is your friend. When you put it on, you can cinch the bolts just past finger tight and wait a half hour for the silicone to start setting up and then torque for tightness. This is another one of those topics that will get you 10 answers from 9 people, just letting you know what has worked best for me after doing dozens of intakes over the years.

That would be my last suspect as 225's have little if any oil floating around the top of the head. Heck you can run the motor and not splash oil anywhere.

    Thanks

The cover for the back of the engine/trans only has a couple bolts in it. I think the previous owner was in a hurry. Been meaning to put the rest in, prolly pull it off first and check it out. I'm betting manifold.
