I am looking at a SM420 that originally came out of a mid to late 50s fire engine.
I have read that there is a rare (35 spline output shaft) version that was used
on 2 ton vehicles instead of the normal 10 spline output shaft.

Anyone have any experience using the 35spine in a Jeep conversion with a 225 V6?

From my understanding there are no adapters made for the oddball version. Advance and Novak neither one make an adapter for this model shaft. If you already have one pass it on as the standard sm420 is not hard to find at all.

When I was searching the forum I saw your post where you mentioned that nobody made an adapter for it.

I dont know for sure if the one I am going to go look at has that type output shaft but it did come from a Fire Engine. I figure that would be considered a 2 ton vehicle.
