I know, I know... its a picture of a Jeepster Commando in the CJ5/6 section.

My question is not about the Jeepster Commando, but the factory paint that covers it.

    What color is it ?

Here is the chart: 1967 Jeep colors (fixed link for chart)

See what you think it is.

Heck, it might not even be a factory color.

My CJ6 came from the factory Presidential Red... definately not staying that color.

There are no Jeep chips on that chart - it says they carry over from 1966. The two colors you list are International colors.

The only one close is "Empire Blue Poly."

My impression is that it's not a factory color. Not sure why I think that - it's just my guess from being around Jeeps a lot, many years ago.

    Sorry 'bout that!

I fixed the link and then the picture link crapped out.

I fixed it too with a link to my Skydrive. Let me know
    if the pic doesnt work.

Looks like the only factory blue that matches the Jeepster is
    Empire Poly Blue.

    Would you all agree ?

I'm thinking I remember JEEPs that were the color in question from that time frame.

yes that looks like Empire Blue Poly which is a OEM color as the chart shows.IIRC that was not a uncommon color. had a good friend with a 66-67 that color.

The article that I took the picture from said the paint was color matched to a
sample of the factory paint found in the glove box area.

If my beat up snow plow Jeepster had a new factory paint job it would be the same color as that.

I have a 66 tub with that color, I can see if the paint code tag is there.
