Deer hunting on the coast, just under an inch of rain over night. Need to check my front locker this week. Making all kinds of noise.

Resized_20220918_131553.jpeg Dropped off at the 4WD shop. Sure hope he knows how to work on old junk. Nothing but new rubicons there. Probably there for light bar installs.

After a cold wet week it was a beautiful Fall day today. Took the dogs for a run to the top of the hill with the topless '69. Probably the last ride like that this year. Putting the hard top back on it tomorrow since the long term forecast is now cold and wet.

While I was up there, I had to take some pictures. I love this Jeep. Even though it's mostly stock with no special features and lots of 'patina', it's the one we always gravitate to for runs around the property. It's like a a pair of old shoes or an old friend. It's just comfortable and it just works. I've only had it for 6 years now but it feels like it's been part of the family forever:

My wife rode up with me while the dogs ran along side. She likes to jog down the hill with the dogs for exercise and they had already started when I took the pictures. I caught up with them a little bit later.

330 acres. We lease about 190 to farmers to help pay for it all. Another 80 is in CRP. The rest is barnyard and range land.

You know, it's not that bad. It's zoned farm land so the taxes are a little over $4k per year.
