Here's mine. I am constantly lurking and watching everyone's builds and I enjoy seeing all your pictures! I've enjoyed Jeeps since I was a little boy. Now that I'm older...I play with "bigger" toys! lol Here is one of the "toys" I have. The windshield should be black, but it looks nice as it is. All original otherwise.

I think the wheels are an older vintage however.

Finally got it. Flickr needs to work on their site. They've changed a few things that don't seem to work like they used to.

    Either way...enjoy!

Thanks Gerald! I got lucky on this one. It has a super body with no rust. There were a few dents and dings...and one of the fenders was repaired...but all in all it was a great candidate for a restoration! I would love to find a matching pair of original "A" grade fenders. If anyone knows of one or a couple, I'd appreciate the lead. Down the road a few years from now...I plan on doing another "frame off" restoration in order to address a few areas that were overlooked by the previous owner. Right now...I'm just enjoying it!

Yessiree if that pretty thing was mine I would be enjoying it too. If it was mine I wouldn't worry about painting the W/S black. Looks very very good the way it is.

Thanks Walt. It sure has been a lot of fun. I do have a couple of things to address though :(

    Oil AND trans leak...BAD
Transmission is VERY LOUD. Not sure why, but I'm thinking a tear down is in order.

It's probably an 8 out of a 10 as far as the 1st restoration attempt was concerned. Engine is wrong blue. Wrong decal for T-case shift pattern. I'm missing a few knobs. Seats are covered in "non period correct" material and have been "built up" so that my head bulges out of the soft top!!!

All in all though....it's a great "6" and I'm fortunate to have found it! I figure I'll drive it and have some good conversations with those who know what it is...and some day down the road, I'll pull it apart and go for the gold when I restore it to "like new" original condition. I figure I'll start by posting some pics and get some feedback from forum members as to the best resources for the needed "factory" OEM parts to get me back to an all original state. Then when I have everything, I'll schedule the rebuild. I'll surely share all the pics you can stand when that takes place too!

I was just reading through this thread when I came across this one. The VIN is what caught my eye. It is only four away from mine, 18964.

While you're at it, you can add mine to this list. It's a 1960, red, has a L head for some reason (probably replaced the motor with what ever was in the barn yard) and a PTO winch.

Plans have not been finalized yet.

Mine is a little younger... 1974. Stripped down to nothing now. Building new frame, d70 and d60, 35" tires, lots of other plans for it... maybe a diesel at some point

I have a '66 CJ6, V6 sm420, Dana 18. hydroboost, suspended pedals, soon to be narrowed Dana 44 front, Dana 44 offset rear with full floating rear, Warn overdrive, 4WDB, 225 with aluminum Holley intake and valve covers T&D roller rockers, Megasquirt waiting in the wings, Thomas 12volt commercial air compressor, MSD 6A 6246 for the oddfire, Saginaw PS, Warn 8274 160 amp Leece Neville alternator, and a Commando frame with SOA YJ stock springs. This is my second CJ6, my first one was a California, unmolested rust free jeep with Warn OD and 5687 Winch. The present 6 is not as nice but should be easy and fun to drive when complete.
