Are there different bellhousings for the 4.3? I have a T90 to adapt to 4.3.
I have a Novak adapter for GMs, but holes do not line up in bellhousing that I have. Are there different transmission bolt patterns for the 4.3?
    Any help appreciated.....Thanks..

Some 4.3's came with a T-5 behind them which has a Ford bolt pattern. Commonly used in S-10/S-15 pickups and Astro Vans. If this is what you have you can re-drill and tap the holes for a GM patterned trans. The ones I've done had the bosses cast in place, just not drilled and tapped. Double check yours to make sure. I did this recently for one going in a CJ-5 with a GM trans. Nickmil

Was the 4.3 mated to an auto or manual trans? I wasn't aware of the info Nickmil gave, glad I didn't get caught with one of those 4.3's or particular bellhousings if that's the case. Any bell from a 4.3 auto or 305, 350, auto or sm465 should work.

I know there were different toothcounts for the flywheels and the bellhousings were different as well as the starters. There are also bellhousings set up for hydraulic clutches.
I used the larger flywheel and a BH from a mid 80s full size chevy pickup and everything went together fine.
