I can't believe this thread is still alive!

Things have changed alot for me in the last year, I moved more retail as my wholesale buyers seemed to close up left and right. I diversified more retail now with another site.

I never was able to develop a performance engine building parts market but selling a lot of other things. Truck stuff still seems to be a good business.

Hopefully I can play more with Jeeps again as the ones I own have been sitting for 3 years now.

The struggles of life but are improving!

I just bought a wiring harness from WALCK's 4WD yesterday down in Bowmanstown, PA and it was literally jeep parts heaven. Most of their items are well priced as well.

    Here's the link: http://walcks4wd.com

P.S. They ship items as well.

I recently found this place surfing the web and purchased some items for my Cj7. The guy was very friendly and the shipping was fast. The site states he specializes in parts for Jeeps 1943-present.

    Hi Garrett -

Do you want new or used? OEM body parts are typically of higher quality than the repops.

The Jeep specialty retailers will have hoods Hood CJ5, CJ6 1955-1971 and MD Juan Civilian | MD Juan shows a grille available. Any of the specialty retailers can get the MD Juan parts for you, if you are willing to pay the price and wait for the part to be imported.

I would start looking for a used grille and hood. These parts are not so prone to rusting as the tub and fenders, and there should be plenty of good ones available if you look around. Private party will be the cheapest - look in the Jeep forums and post a WTB (want to buy) ad wherever it's an option.

Or, you can buy from a wrecking yard. Try Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market - you may find suitable parts local to you. Shop around - private party, I would expect to pay maybe $100 for a nice hood and $50 for a decent grille. Parts from a yard are going to be more, and new will be the most expensive.

Also realize that shipping is a significant cost for stuff like this. The price of shipping from wherever the part is made will be folded-in to the price of the part. Depending on the arrangement, you may then have to pay for shipping from where the part is stocked, or possibly you can have the parts shipped direct to you (drop shipment) and skip the intermediate shipping costs.

I would put a lot of effort into finding the part locally, from a wreck or parts car. It's going to be a lot cheaper, even if you have to deal with a commercial yard.

Used MTS for fuel filler hose and vent hose on rear tank 1970 DJ5 (not DJ5A). Same as 71 CJ5. the part is OOS but they will have it and ship next week. Can't order on line but ERIC was very helpful and professional.

For all those interested; could not find firewall grommets from ANY of the the Jeep suppliers listed here. So found some at Steele Rubber products. The pic lists what I think will cover my '65 CJ6, plus a few extra. For e-brake, vacuum line, heater cables, speedo cables, and wiring. FYI...
