1976 cj5 frame question

    I am looking to restore a 1976 CJ5 6 cyl 258 4-speed mechanically its sound the frame is shot

    questions I am looking for a used frame to start with, could I use another frame from a '77, '78 etc.?

    any place to start my search to find one?

    Any help would be appreciated

    '76 to '83 CJ-5 frames interchange as do '72-'75 frames and '55-'71 frames. They don't interchange between these year changes without modifications though. Nickmil.

    A buddy of mine just bought a CJ7 frame that he needed. Bought it on Ebay.
    Sand blasted, rear section re-boxed, POR-15 applied, and ready to use. He paid ~$350.
    Ebay might work for you too.
