Little by little. Still a lot that I want to do but at least I'll be able to use it now! Going Hunting in September/October. It needs to be ready by then!

I remember you saying "it will never see asphalt" but after all this work can you really say your not going to test run it by the front of the house?

Originally I wasn't going to register it on for the road. But it's all good and ready to go!

I'll definitely take some trips around the neighborhood to test it out. Possibly use it in town every now and again. But once it goes up to the ranch I hunt on next week, it will be up there for at least 2 months

new issue. Adjusting the clutch, the adjustable link is almost all the way extended and when I depress the pedal, it doesnt disengage. Any suggestions? Could this possibly have to do with the pressure plate?

Kyle, It could be your just not getting enough travel on your linkage................but did you not say that you had that running a while back? So what has changed in the clutch can? Do you still have the same clutch fork and throw out bearing?

Terry, same clutch fork. Different throwout bearing. I might have a little more travel left in my linkage. The other thing I'm thinking is that I tested this with no driveshafts, just by watching the yokes spin. I'm thinking the resistance of the driveshafts might also help.

Is the overall length of the throw out bearing including the collar the same as before?.......not sure if the drive shaft would effect the release of the clutch..............you need mechanical travel / length in your linkage in order to push the fingers in on the pressure plate to release the clutch disc...........is your linkage or bushings worn any where?...............with the clutch down or in you should be able to rotate the drive line and clutch package if jacked up and still maintain some free-play at the top of the pedal travel.......1/2-1" free play is fine..............give me a call if you want.

If you are trying to turn the t-case output by hand when the clutch pedal is depressed you probably won't get it to turn for a variety of reasons. Pull the coil wire so it won't start and crank it over in gear with the clutch pedal depressed and see if the Jeep tries to move. Sometime a new clutch just needs to be used a little before it will completely dis-engage.

I didn't try to turn the output shaft by hand, I started the engine and let it spin without the driveshafts installed. That's how I was testing it. They shouldn't spin with the clutch depressed right?

There may be enough bite to see it spin with the clutch in that you would never notice with driveshafts in place.

Got my front stinger in for my bumper build. Mocked it up

Finally finished getting the clutch adjusted. Runs good minus a small exhaust leak. Final touches tomorrow then she's headed up north for the hunting season!

Nice! A few problems are to be expected when you do that much work to any vehicle.

    Kyle,

That's a great comparison in size between old and a somewhat newer Jeep............Good luck up there!
