I posted a while ago about some pictures concerning a 72 CJ5. I finally got out to check it out - it looked great. Really solid frame that looked to have been painted at one point and a fiberglass body that needs paint, but is in good shape. The cage is custom and ties into the frame. Newer trailmaster lift that looked to be about 3 inches and running 31 x 11.5s. AGR steering set up. Ive got some newer pictures up because a lot of people had questions about the jeep last time i posted.

Just want to make sure that the rear axle is a 44... anyone? see pic.

Also, can anyone ID the frame from the picture. Is it definately a 72? the pic shows the rear purch. The jeep has a chevy 350 and TH350 auto tranny with an aftermarket body, so were not totally sure of the year.

Any info/opinions? Again, I can get the rig for 2k with a 16 ft. trailer. Hopefully it happens.

    Thanks

I concur, looks right on for the frame year & axle type to me. Do you know what transfer case was put behind that automatic transmission?

Sorry about all the moving/editing confusion.

It's on my end. I didn't read closely enough to figure out you were asking questions using the pics.

    It does belong here.

    Thanks for the resize Tim.

Looks like a pre-'75 frame, judging by the spring and shackle hangers. The rear axle is a centered Dana 44, and the front is an open-knuckle Dana 30.

Sounds like a good deal at only $2K, including a trailer - IMO...

You look like you have a great start with some good parts, but I would go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Those brake and trans lines tell me the PO wasn't very "Detail Oriented"
