    Ahh, gotcha.
    Yup, pressed on. I have seen some that were press fit and soldered to the shaft but not for a very long time.

    It wasn't that hard to figure out. Once I got the Jeep home I removed the distributor, did the drill bit to the pump, no resistance. Removed the screws on the pump cover. 2 gears and a shaft fell out.
    Oh, I think I see the problem here.
