Hi, was wondering if anyone has installed a summit racing heater in their Jeep https://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-991102-1. I just purchased this one and I'm hoping for some photos. I've searched and found some, but just looking for ideas. Thank you.

That looks like the one I used in pile #4. I'll get some pics. Ron

I used a heater hose from a 2004 grand Cherokee (lots of bends) cut and spliced with brass couplers and pinch clamps.
If you need different pics let me know, Ron

Thank you. That really gave me a different perspective. I never once thought of mounting it vertically . Did it interfere with the glove box? I see you blocked one outlet, where does the other one go?
    Thanks for the quick response.

It's a glass tub. I'm not running glove box, yet. My dash panel is 3 pieces, adding glove box this year. The capped out is going to be floor heat, the other is for the defroster. I ran out of good weather to finish things. My ECM is mounted above the heater box, the fan keeps the air moving in that corner. Good luck, Ron

I didn't have enough parts from one year to worry about originality.

I live at 5k feet. Winters can be brisk, single digits, teens, twenties. I use my jeep to plow so I’m in it a lot.

I installed the smaller 28k BTU heater. It work well enough. In hindsight, I should have gone with the 40k BTU unit. However, you better make sure you have space for it to fit. The 28k heater was a tight fit, but I have a glovebox.
