It's in a very arid part of Colorado so it might be as rust free as it appears.

Where the fuel filler?

 

Good question... could it be some sort of replacement tub? Are those tail lights stock for that year?

 

Pretty sure it's a stock tub...still has the top bow mounts on the corners. The taillights are just some boat trailer lights from the FLAPS.

 

Lots of bodywork on this one (fuel filler, side spare mount) , but likely not very rusty. Low price for my area, and a bargain on that Detroit. That engine would be a bit (lot!) heavy for this CJ5, and the torque would break many of the stock Jeep parts, but it would sound awesome!

Wait, those engines use a blower to pull air through the engine? Oh boy, I'm going down the rabbit hole now...

 

I don't know man. The tub looks skimmed or skinned over to me. Some funkiness at the rockers and all the body lines look extra sharp to me. Can't see the seems at the tail light panels. Definitely have to see it in person before passing too much judgement on it though.

 

$1,850 with a clean title? I would buy it right now if I had a place to keep it.
