The dealership that my father worked at Herring Willys / Jeep had one in their showroom.

 

They do have a following, David at ewillys restored one a few years ago. And there is a young Mrs Brady that likes them.

 

A pink Jeep? Only if it's a Surrey. A 2wd? Not so much.
I understand why it's a 2wd. Jeeps back then were tractors and utility vehicles, not purpose-built offroaders. But still, it hurts my soul just a little bit.
Although I'd still probably drive it, because it's a Surrey and it's cool.

 

Add a 27 front and transfer case. Wheel it ...

 

I'ld need a kenskill trailer in tow with pink fenders.

Do my best with the go-devil but a quad 4 would be the ahead of it's time motor to swap in.

 

always had a soft spot for the Surrey. Have the Tonka version in pink and Green

 

I thought the stock Surrey wheels were 14" with a 4 bolt pattern. And not that it matters but those springs are awful flat.

 

Yep wheels as stated above.
I drove the one my dad had several times around town.
Fun to drive and peppy with 4.56 and 3 on the tree.

 

I regularly drive an all pink ten wheeler does that count?

 

Hell yea, I would wheel it. Saw this one at Hershey last year.

 

I would drive it. Great to take to the beach. Or the grand babies out for ice cream

I’ve never seen original “side curtains” and doors with one of the Surreys. With the size and shape of the windows (and dry rot), they do appear to be original. This one appears to be very solid, but it looks like the inner bedsides have a a second layer/skin immediately next to the rear seat sides. I can’t figure that out. The Surreys I’ve seen have used the same license light as the Tuxedo Park.

My DJ is the same way. I don’t think there is a second layer, the single layer is just built that way. I have always thought that CJ’s were the same.

OMG Thats one of the coolest jeeps ever made! I recently saw a blue one for sale here in SoCal and was VERY tempted to scoop it up!
