You have done all the correct fixes for an intermediate drive-line with a lift.. I am beginning to believe you have another problem
as you say it happens during normal driving. Ring, pinion or spider gear.

Other than parts falling out of the diff, what would I look for

Pull the cover, raise the rear and look for missing or chipped teeth. It should have a trac-loc carrier if stock.
The gears will be visible while turning one wheel.

Ok, today’s the day and I’m going to pop the cover. Now, with the 8 degree shims in, do I need to worry about under-filling the diff? The fill hole is technically pointing more downward

If you jack the rear end up 12 inches, the Jeep will be at 8 degrees and the diff level.

Ok, job is done…to my untrained eye, the gear set was in pristine order. There didn’t seem to be any slop in anything.

Where do you feel the vibration? Have you pulled a trailer to see the consistency if it with a towed load vs acceleration load? Is it in all of your gears? Could you have an engine/trany or torque mount failing under the load?

FYI - I have the same set up, 2.5 RC lift with a Woods driveshaft. 33" BFG's are the only difference.

I don't have vibration under hard acceleration and the driveshaft angle is steep. I can't remember the degree of wedges used to tip the rearend pinion up to reduce the driveshaft angle.

FWIW. I was experiencing vibration when I engaged the clutch. Sounds different from your experience. I resurfaced the flywheel and installed a quality Centerforce pressure plate and clutch (expensive) and that took care of the problem.

Another thought is your trans/transfer case mounts. I had to replace mine.

Done the basics before assuming it is "axle wrap?"

Motor and transmission mounts in good condition? Supports and links tight, etc?

Ya know, I was just wondering this myself…mind you, I’m a retired electrician, not a mechanic. Before I got the jeep, I didn’t even change my own oil. How would I go about checking these

Are you experiencing (visually more than 3/4") of side-to-side movement in your shifter?

No, in gear it’s rock solid. I had the top off once and didn’t notice any appreciable wear

I used the wrong gear oil once, and had trouble shifting, but changed it and its fine now

Recently as I was lubing the steering I squeezed a bit more into the new DS because the splines looked dry, and that actually helped by maybe 30 %

Get out and get under. Use your eyes and a flashlight. Jiggle stuff.
