Nice but is it really a "collector".
It is expensive, maybe it is better to buy a good Wrangler of some years old ?

 

Ive actually seen this jeep in real life! If you look closely in the last photo picturing 3 jeeps, My green Cj is tucked in the back . Thats the guy I bought it from!
Real nice guy but he also said my CJ was "fully restored" when he sold it to me. 2 years and 600hrs+ of work later, I'm still finding and fixin stuff FWIW

That is a nice looking Jeepster. I don’t think it is the original color though. The door jambs and underhood yellow is correct original, but the exterior is another paler shade of yellow. This can best be seen in the underhood right side photo where the battery can be seen. Otherwise, it presents very well and seems to have a lot of work done.
The final photo with the yellow Tux shows the Tux front bumper is up-side-down. The license plate is supposed to be on the left side, like the Jeepster (and no grill emblem).

I bought it from him when he lived in Ventura.

He had only owned it 6 months and really had very little info about the CJ. The cool thing was he was nice enough to put me in touch with the previous owner who was more than happy to give me as much info as he could remember. Apparently the previous restoration was done many years ago in the Pismo/Santa Maria area.

So far I've only been able to track the history back about 3 owners (in the last 12 years). Before that, still no idea.

I guess that's how it goes sometimes with these pre-VIN vehicles. Adds to the mystery haha.

 

Very nice. My sarcastic side must show itself though so........throw a surfboard on top of anything and the price goes up 5k automatically. And I think the sticker with the red flat fender on it sort of says it all. Doesn't it? ------Just kidding of course. I used to believe that Jeepsters and cj7s were for the wives club. Thus my sarcastic comments. But I've grown to like both over the years. Mostly during the YJ years I think.

I think thats a lot of coin for any vehicle that isn't a very nice 60s muscle car but thats me. I could see high teens. Maybe 20 if someone really had to have it.
