Be careful with Life360 (and all “free” apps, for that matter). It tracks everything. It monitors your speed while driving and sells the information to your insurance companies. Surprise! A rate hike because you drive 5mph over the limit. You’ll get ads from stores near the ones you frequently shop at because they sold that info too.

    You’re the product.

I suggest reading "The Wisdom of Insecurity" by Alan Watts. Our habit of seeking security actually feeds the sense of insecurity. The entire cyber industry is based on exploiting that loop. And us.

Say for instance that one has that app. Now one can have anxiety about dead batteries, lost phones, or being in a bad reception area, etc etc.

I chose to live without apps, or even a smartphone, because I prefer to live without fearing fear, and to feel that I will cope with, or at least accept, whatever life throws at me.

Just me, and Life, nothing to get between us. So far, so good.

When my youngest drove her Jeep in high school, I put 360 on her phone so I could locate her when she broke down. Because we know how reliable jeeps are. Lol

Trust and common sense. We survived with just those two things. Maybe we should get back to them.

Trust... Counting on and assisting other human beings, in human ways, seems important to me. The glue that keeps (or once kept...) societies together.
