In the meantime, I cleaned up the oil pan, was very nasty. After cleaning, I blasted it in my HF blasting cabinet, it just fit!

I refrain from blasting parts that will be exposed to the engine internals and oil. Bad MOJO can happen.

Cmon, lol, I didn’t blast the inside of the oil pan, just the exterior;). It’ll be just fine;)

Gary took off early to a meeting, so I was able to start earlier than usual on the body. I had already replaced the right rear lower quarter panel. I'd say the left front fender has been giving me most grief. I wound up blasting the front fenders with my wetblaster a few weeks ago, worked well. The rotisserie made it "easier" to blast; still a mess. I did a mess of body work on the left front, still a ways to go, then I ended shooting high build. Now the temps back up; I don't do heat very well these days.

Wet blasting, the rotisserie made a whole lot easier, still messy as I said, but now they're on the car(obviously). Darn thing just took up so much room.

As for a color, I just about break my neck when I see a color of a car that I may like on my dart. I do like this matte finish Brunswick green~ then with nice decals. No chrome~ I see it in my mind! lol I have to check with my paint supplier to see what it is, single stage, two stage.

This is an ebay seller, the color is lighter and it looks neat. This color might look better. This is a single stage:

Pushed the Dart out of the way ( I love my rotisserie) and started putting my doors in epoxy. I had already wet blasted the doors last week(sprayed with phosphoric acid, a product from Eastwood), inhibits flash rust and leaves a zinc coating. In a bit, I'll be spraying a few coats of high build, then let the "body work" commence(again). Feel like I'm making a little progress!

Probably going to be redundant for a while~ I'm going to work on this side tomorrow. Initial block sanding

the gap is there as I have the fender pulled forwardly
    [IMG]

I have this coming soon. It's a shifter hump out of a '64-65 Barracuda, fits my 63. Really hard to find so I'm told. Not going to tell you what it cost me

Then I have this coming soon too! needs a little attention, but everything I have needs A LOT OF ATTENTION! LOL

Hi!! I had a talk with my machine work fella for the slant engine~ hot tank on Friday and estimate on Monday . So, this morning I sprayed the underneath a glossy gray, then bolted up the Maxjax lift, removed the rotisserie, and installed the K member(just to look at it;)) The doors just clear the maxjax, that's good! So, the dart will be here for quite a while, have to work on the rear valance(couldn't do it on the rotisserie), the front valance needs a lot of attention too. The gray primer makes the car look great, but in reality needs a lot of attention. The maxjax has been a blessing over the years. I have 2 1/2 Maxjax lifts and have 3 places I can put them. When not in use, unbolt and roll out of the way;)
I need a smoothie~ ;) Then the rest of the day, just want to organize and leaf blow the floor;)

The maxjax does go higher plus I have 9" extensions on the lift arms

I was playing with the wheels that I do have. I'd like it to have this stance, maybe a tad lower give or take. I do want tires as wide as I can go. This is fun! ;)
I really don't know much about tires. I read somewhere on FB that rims can be widened by whomsoever welding in a "splice" vs just going out a buying new rims. I Like these wheels. Powdercoated a nice color would look good.

    the right tire is: 205/65r15
    the left tire is: 225/70r15

Figured I'd better go ahead and do the mini-tub: I'd say this was the "easiest" part cutting it out, don't get me wrong! it was noisy, dusty, and a little scary,(cut-off wheel and/or sawzall) I hope this works! lol I can start fitting it tomorrow unless Gary has other plans~ I have enough 19gauge to make the "spacers", doesn't need a flange like the ones they sell. I will weld them in. I was a little worried the body might have gone , Ka-bong, but it didn't. I think the fitting part should be straight forward, then welding, just the time involved and being a contortionist! ;)
Definitely more room for a wider tire! :D

You can just make out the top of the tire~ looks like a foot clearance and the tire is about where I'd want it~ I could go 4 wheeling!!

Now you will need to find wheels to take advantage of the newly found room. Do you have something in mind?

The magic question , what tire/wheel. I really like the mags on it now, only if they can be widened. I've been reading how they do it and where~ I think there's a place here in Houston that does it. I believe the rims I have are 8". These wheels were only 20 bucks each, even if they charge 300 per wheel(rears only), I could live with that, then have them powder coated matt black. If the rear end I have was shorted, it may open up deep dish type wheels but I'm not going there.

I know I want the width to be tasteful, not too wide, nor too tall. Below are some googled pics. I think next week or whenever, I'll pop over to my local tire dealer and see if they can offer advice.

I just don't have an answer about tires yet~ I still need to go work on the mini tubing and wrap that up;)
