OH I'm focused :coffee:, my focus will be on the Dart :sneak:, I've had it for a year and little to show for~ after the grandkids go back home~ I'll be full speed ahead on it~ unless of course something unforseen pops up :susp:

Just for your future reference, the "010US" on those main bearings indicate an .010" undersize bearing. But it's not that uncommon to see undersize bearings in factory blocks, especially not from the 70's

I'm glad you cleared that up;) However, does that mean if the crank needs turning, it would require even smaller bearings?

Technically "Larger/Thicker" bearings. On Bearings when they say "Undersized" it's because the crankshaft has been turned down to correct for defects, so it's smaller than stock.

IN the meantime, I bought a Hutchins 2000 straight line sander for bodywork~ These go for like 500 bucks new, got it for 90 on ebay, pre-owned of course. They said it was for parts only cause it only blew air and the board wouldn't reciprocate. I took a chance, bought it, hooked it up~ the air adjuster was barely on~ moved it a bit and works great!
    Grandkids are here~ they're 11 and 16, good ages;)

Easy Off is the best degreaser but I'm sure you know how toxic and caustic it is.

Well, I'm back~ the grandkids wore us out, not by activities, but by laziness and competition for us with the cell phones~ it's a horrible addiction. It was still nice to have them here;) Right now their at a camp for two weeks, then we pick them up.

Anyway, I moved the dart back into my tall garage~ working on the body now;) A lot of work to do!

I chose a gray for the undercarriage, basically the same color as the epoxy primer! lol

Having just a lot of fun working in this darned heat! :( However, making a tad of progress :D

I found these seats for 100 bucks, saw no harm in seeing how they look. I would try my hand at re-upholstering unless I can find the upholstery online. supposedly out of an '86 Volkwagen ,but I don't know what kind of vw.

    Then little spots like this

obviously I put the doors on to work on them. I'm not done with the back quarter panels, but it's kind of taking the shape of a car! ;)

darn, it's time to make dinner already!!

Nice seats. They are probably from a VW Wolfsburg Edison. I wanted a set of these for my jeep but could not find any. They are small enough for most jeeps, if you should decide not to use them for any reason post them here, someone would likely want them.

Thank you! I'm going to see if there is upholstery already made for them. ;)

May want to search VW Golf GTI, Scirocco or Corrado for the seat covers. I know Scirocco and Corrado had Wolfsburg editions.

Wow, it's been really HOT~ 106 in my tall garage! I did what I could, today played with my new to me slant six. I wanted to get it mounted on my engine stand, and I did.

I have some interesting news~ I found a super six intake/exhaust manifold which is the two barrel setup~ should hopefully be here in a few weeks;):D

This lift plate from an Ebay seller is great, made for the slants;)

Just curious what this system weighs
    [IMG]

Fun to stand back and imagine the finished product;)

Well, grandkids are coming back from camp and we're to pick them up. They'll be here for the weekend then head back to Palacious. School starts August 7th:(

Are you kidding me, that is a month too soon. How will you get the crops in from the fields?

You’re welcome. I hope it helps you find what you need!

Honestly, one of the cool things I like to see at a car show is a Chrysler slant 6.

Interested to see what happens with the super six intake/exhaust!
