For sale, I found this old Bernz-O-Matic refillable cylinder in a trailer my buddy bought. I dug around online, but trying to find the original refill adapter seems to be nearly impossible. I'm sure you could use a modern one. I've never seen a tank of this size with a bleeder designed specifically for refilling. Doubt I'll ever see another one, its not that old, but I've never seen one.

20$ obo, can bring to Curt Leduc swap meet next weekend, maybe sunday, not sure about saturday.

My inlaws bought 4 of these the other day. Hard to find them on the shelf, they move quickly.
He was refilling disposables and tired of me saying that's a bad idea then one day at camp he noticed they had swelled out.

I'ld just rather someone else sit in the cold and be charged for the propane I burn and not the propane I loose in the filling process. then you still go and have the big bottle filled anyway. But one or two do come in handy on those trips you can't physically pack a 20lb or even 5lb bottle.

I kept running into that one trying to find info on this one! I also prefer to just pay and get it filled, but I do like the idea. If it had the fill adapter I would probably keep it for my small torch, but we looked everywhere and never found it. I've got a 5 pound tank with an adapter for my stove, fits the torch too.

I would assume the tx16310 in the picture could be substituted with any of the kits for the flame king or disposables the vent tool on the flame king is an Allen key if I heard my in-laws correctly is the vent a Schrader style valve you just push down on with a Allen wrench. This one's instructions read you use a wrench and loosen the outer nut? I would think it is more of a collectors item.

Agreed on all points. I'm sure a modern version would work just fine. I haven't messed with it, but from what I understand yes, you loosen the nut.

There's a collector out there for everything, just not sure if the collector who would want this uses earlycj5.com

I’m pretty sure that is a February 1978 date stamp on the top. I’m not sure of the testing recertification requirement, but I’d consider this example as only a collectors item. Look up the CGA (compressed gas association) requirements.

But in real life, has anyone ever been killed by a one-pound cylinder because it was "out of certification?"
